Centro Energy Teverola (CET)

Centro Energy Teverola S.p.A. is an electric power utility formed in 1993 by shareholders E.ON (58%) and Foster Wheeler Italiana (42%). The thermoelectric facility is located at Teverola, in Caserta province. Created to output electric power to the national grid, it entered production in 1998.

This is a combined-cycle cogeneration plant of 142 MW, consisting of two gas turbines, two recovery boilers, and one steam turbine. The plant was designed for continuous operations and burns natural gas.

The entire production of electrical energy is fed into the 220 kV grid of Terna, while the nearby industrial plants are provided low-pressure steam for technological uses and hot water for heating the workplaces in winter.

Environmental protection
The site is EMAS registered with no. IT-000141 and possesses an environmental management system conforming to ISO 14001 standards.
