E.ON promotes a broadly diversified energy mix that includes all energy sources. By 2020 we plan to reduce our specific CO2 emissions globally by 50% compared to 1990. To achieve this goal we intend to produce energy by increasing the share of renewable sources and the use low-CO2 coal-fired power plants and highly efficient gas-fired power plants.
