Luca Dal Fabbro Chief Executive Officer |
Born in 1966, Luca Dal Fabbro completed his university studies with a degree in chemical engineering. He also earned a master’s degree in international politics from the ULB in Brussels, studying at CERIS, where he specialized in energy and wrote his thesis on the scenarios of the long-term European energy supply and the strategic role of the Caspian Sea and Turkey. He also took an advanced course in management at M.I.T. and represented Italy at the Young European and Asian Leaders Summit organized in Japan by the European Union and the ASEAN.
He began his career at the European headquarters of the Procter & Gamble group in Brussels, where for almost five years he worked on projects to develop new plants and new products to launch on the market in Europe and the United States. He worked at Techint S.p.A. (Gruppo Tenaris) in Milan as the head of strategic marketing and assistant to the chief executive officer. At Coopers & Lybrand Management Consulting, he worked in the financial unit as a corporate consultant to banks and insurance companies in the field of corporate governance and risk management.
However, he acquired most of his experience in the energy industry. He worked in China and Vietnam for the CTIP on the business development of energy and chemical infrastructure and in London for Enron on the development of energy infrastructure projects and in trading. Before joining E.ON, he worked for several years for the Enel Group in Rome, where he was first head of Marketing and Structuring at Enel Trade S.p.A. and later general manager of Enel Energia S.p.A., a board member of Enel Gas S.p.A., and the Sales Division’s head of marketing. Before he became the Chief Executive Officer of E.ON Italia S.p.A., he was the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of E.ON Energia S.p.A. for almost three years. He is also a board member of E.ON Energia S.L., Spain. He has served as the vice president of AIGET – the Italian Association of Energy Wholesalers and Traders – in charge of the electricity market. He is currently the vice president of AIGET in charge of the gas market.
