We use the power of wind around the globe, both on land and at sea, to generate environmentally friendly energy. In the growing global market for renewable energy, we are already among the top 5 wind-power producers worldwide, and we want to grow even more. In Europe and the USA, we operate onshore plants with an installed capacity of over 2,200 MW. Our offshore wind farm at Scroby Sands, off the English coast, can supply up to 33,000 households. And with our London Array project we are currently planning the world’s biggest offshore wind park, located in the UK. We are also developing Alpha Ventus in Germany, the only offshore wind farm in the world on the open sea. |
In Italy, we operate 9 wind farms with a capacity close to 300 MW, amounting to about 8% of the total wind power generated in Italy. The wind farms are located in different parts of Italy: Sardinia, Sicily, Campania, Basilicata, Tuscany, and Calabria. In our project pipeline for the next 5 years, we currently have projects amounting to 170 MW of additional capacity.
